Learning What You Don’t Know

As a new mother, understanding the needs and demands on your body from pregnancy, labor, and postpartum can help you set up care and support not only to help with baby, but also to help with your own healing. Placental wounds internally, the shift in hormones, and the transition from pregnancy to postpartum has a huge impact on our health - mentally, physically, and emotionally. Adequate physiological care of new mothers can accelerate physical recovery, decrease rates of perinatal mood disorders, help support breastfeeding, increase bonding and attachment between mother and baby, and prevent pelvic floor disorders. This course is preventive care to support YOUR lifelong health and well-being after having your baby.

In this course, you will learn to prioritize your health and expand your village within a community of other moms who are expecting around the same time you are. You will create a postpartum care plan that is specific to your needs and circumstances as well as learn the 5 postpartum care essentials to support your lifelong health as a new mother.

  • The power of an EXTENDED RESTING PERIOD as preventive care for pelvic, hormonal and mental health

  • The benefits of WARMTH AND WARMING MODALITIES to expedite healing and increase oxytocin for bonding and attachment

  • The importance of FOOD AND NUTRITION to support your brain health and milk supply

  • The wisdom of HEALING BODYWORK to promote physical healing, organ realignment, and mental health

  • The necessity of a SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY for healing on all levels and providing connection during a vulnerable time

  • Traditional wisdom that has been used for millennia to support new mothers in the early postpartum (after birth) period, including practices used in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  • A postpartum care plan specific to your care and needs in the early postpartum

  • A 1:1 consult (virtually or in person) after you have your baby for guidance and support specific to your needs

FAQs for this Course:

  • Available to ALL expectant mothers who are between 16 and 36 weeks pregnant.

  • How does class work? We will meet for (3) 1.5-Hour sessions before baby is born and for (1) 2-Hour session after baby is born as part of a new mom’s celebration. Class is In-Person in Evergreen, Colorado (at my studio off of Buffalo Park Rd.).

  • What do I need to bring? Just yourself and any questions you may have.

  • Do I have to attend all sessions? Yes, as this will provide you with the most information and support to start your journey as a mother.

  • Are there individual or private sessions? Yes, Contact me about small group or private sessions.

  • Are there Scholarships available? Yes, I offer Scholarships for sliding scale payment options open to anyone and can also set up payment plans. Contact me for more information or submit a Scholarship request, and I will be in touch.
